It’s that time again. This time we’ll start off with one of the more popular gaming resources out there (and one of my favorites).
RPGNOW is a site that offers all kinds of digital products. They have a huuuuuge list of RPGs, indie RPGs, supplements, maps and terrain. The prices are just right, so check them out. The one product that I have purchased more than any other would be the 3D terrain and tiles from the Fat Dragon Games line (I’m a very visual gamer). This stuff is easy to put together. Just print, cut, fold, and glue. It really makes for a spectaculr session, and adds tremendous detail to your battles.
The Weem is a relatively new website, run by a veteran gamer – the Weem. After posting for years on EN World, he decided to pool his resources and gaming tools in an easy-to-reach spot. In particular, his condition cards and maps look really nice. Spend just a few minutes on his site and you realize that he has some quality stuff.
“Obsidian Portal is the award winning, free to use, online platform for running and organizing your tabletop role-playing games. What’s more, you can build campaigns, find players, and utilize our tools, tips, and extensive gamer community to get the most out of your tabletop gaming experience. Obsidian Portal supports over 100 game systems, and it will work with your game. Creating an account is easy, and every campaign gets a shared blog\wiki to showcase its story, as well as integrated tools to help track NPCs, locations, treasure, and all the other little things that make up an RPG.” I can tell you that I’ve used Obsidian Portal, and found it very useful. It’s definitiely a good addition to your campaign.
