When I first made the Horse Minis for my home game, I used a lot of tacky glue on the hooves, essentially gooping them to the chipboard bases.  To this day they have stayed strong.  However, there’s still goop all over their hooves.

When I put them up for sale on Stuffer Shack, I changed to super glue to avoid all the goop.  Unfortunately, I’ve found out that under normal play, the horses sometimes tear off the top layer of the chipboard bases.  Well, I’m not going to sell horses that fall apart, nor am I going to sell horses with goop all over their hooves.  I was about to scrap the whole thing when my wife (Gods bless her) found some 2-inch acrylic circle bases.  They’re more expensive than the chipboard, but they work A LOT better.  I’m very happy to say that they will not come apart under normal, or even aggressive play.

If anyone has any problems with the earlier horses, let me know and I’ll quickly replace them with the new, better Horse Minis.

In Chris's opinion, the very best vices are dirt bikes, rock music, and gaming, while the very best medicine is fatherhood. If he could just learn to balance them all, he'd live forever. He's much more creative than intelligent, often wakes up belligerent, and ponders many things insignificant. Lastly, in an effort to transform his well-fed body, P90X, Roller Blades, and Food are all laughing at him. And the pain continues.

  1. Good to hear. I like the black muscled horse in the picture. Can I get at least two of those in my order?

  2. Of course! I aim to please.
