The other day I hit upon a site that had some gaming apps, so I checked them out (anything designed to make the game more fun is worth checking out). Well, I immediately fell in love with Intwischa and see myself going back often (plus, they have this app called “the Mistranslator.” Basically, if your character can almost speak a different language, the app will translate what your character is saying, based on your character’s skill rating… “I think it best that you take your other orc bandits and flee, because we will put butterflies in the wind and sit on drunken cheese, if you know what’s good for you.” … I love it…).
I asked them to explain their site in a few words, and this is what they had to say:
“Intwischa is a blog about tabletop gaming. We explore what makes games fun and create content that can be used in story games. We focus on daily updates providing game ready content, cool links, advice, and commentary on playing games and the gaming industry.”
And they’re having a contest!
Intwischa is celebrating its 500th post in February, and to recognize the occasion, they’re giving away over $100 in gaming supplies from Gaming Paper! The prize package includes 8 rolls of Gaming Paper in 1″ grids and hexes, a sampler of Gaming Paper adventures, and a roll of Cthulhu wrapping paper. Readers may enter the contest once per day between February 4 and February 8 by creating an account and posting a comment at Intwischa. This starts today, so get over there and enter!

Thanks for giving us a nod! And Intwischa fans, you can enter the contest multiple times–once for each article of the week! Head over to Intwischa, log in, and post a comment to enter!
