The Scarlet Witch is a very interesting character within the Marvel Universe. She started off as a villain, working for Magneto’s Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Back then, she fired simple hex bolts and had very little control over the results of her powers. She soon became an Avenger, and has since become a staple member of the group. Her powers have changed as well, becoming much more powerful (like a number of Silver Age heroines).  At times, she’s been a nexus of chaos magic and at other times she’s had the ability to twist reality itself.

The powers have a heavy toll however, bringing Wanda to the brink of madness on more than one occasion. I wanted to have her as a villain for my House of M event, but she’s presented here as a full hero. Use her as you will!
