This is just a quick update on where we are for the 2012 RPG Site of the Year award.  We’ve had 34 contestants submit their sites for the contest, prizes donated from eight of our nine sponsors, and one cool SOTY Shield designed by our very own Adam Bragg (Spiralbound).

We’ve announced our five finalists: Gnome Stew, Dungeon’s Master, G*M*S Magazine, The Id DM, and Nearly Enough Dice …and on Monday, April 30th, the winner (as determined by the SOTY Judges) will be announced.

I have to say, last year – when Critical Hits (a great site) won the award, I was having a blast.  I was enjoying the contest’s first year, and was really looking forward to it growing.  Well, this year the SOTY Award has grown by leaps and bounds, and I wanted to thank everyone that has been associated with it.  Specifically, the sponsors, judges, voters, and contestants (ok, that’s everyone!).  Even though things went much more smoothly this time around, I still wanted to thank everyone for their help with the contest, participation, and patience.  It’s been great working with others to make this happen.  so thank you all.

Now, come back on Monday to see who the winner will be – I know I will…!

Chris Stevens

In Chris's opinion, the very best vices are dirt bikes, rock music, and gaming, while the very best medicine is fatherhood. If he could just learn to balance them all, he'd live forever. He's much more creative than intelligent, often wakes up belligerent, and ponders many things insignificant. Lastly, in an effort to transform his well-fed body, P90X, Roller Blades, and Food are all laughing at him. And the pain continues.

  1. Thank you again for hosting and organizing the contest. It has been enjoyable to be a part of the process. And another personal thank you for allowing me to opportunity to publish some content on your site last year.

Take care, and good luck to everyone!

  2. Congrats to the finalists and a huge thanks to Stuffer Shack for wrangling the contest. Plenty of great competition and no matter who wins, we all win when those sites post great content!
