VijayA few weeks ago one of our readers (and two-time contributor) Vijay had a sudden medical scare.  He has since started his treatment and recovery, and seems to be doing better.  Well, we decided to start a little fundraiser to help lift his spirits.  Between a donation from the RPG blog 20ft Radius and all the profits from our store for the month of April, we ended up raising $140.  We hope that helps with one of his copays, perhaps parking, and of course some gaming stuff!

Here’s Vijay:

“I would like to personally thank everyone who donated to my recovery. Unfortunately, because this is the internet, I’m going to have to settle for thanking you in text. Chemotherapy certainly deserves its reputation as a harrowing, difficult experience; but knowing that there are people who will occasionally go out of their way to help someone in need helps take the edge off of it. I’d especially like to thank Chris, who gave up the profits from the site to help someone he’s never met in person. His actions reveal a level of kindness and human decency that’s scarce in our mostly selfish, bottom-line-driven society. From the stygian depths of my heart, I thank you all.”

You’re welcome, Vijay, and thank you.

In Chris's opinion, the very best vices are dirt bikes, rock music, and gaming, while the very best medicine is fatherhood. If he could just learn to balance them all, he'd live forever. He's much more creative than intelligent, often wakes up belligerent, and ponders many things insignificant. Lastly, in an effort to transform his well-fed body, P90X, Roller Blades, and Food are all laughing at him. And the pain continues.
