    MINDBLOWN, a Shadowrun Novella…?!

    Chris Stevens · Oct 29, 2026

Shadowrun: Mindblown is a new novella by Aaron Rosenberg, out now from Catalyst Game Labs on DriveThruFiction. It’s a 75-page PDF for $3.99, which works out to about a nickel a page. That’s a low price for a full-length Shadowrun story.

The setup: street samurai Payas, mage Hitoshi and rigger Zurita make their nuyen running escort jobs for two rival South American cartels. Then the two cartels find out about each other, and the trio is on the outs with both. Short on cash and stuck in the city of Tarapoto, they take a drug run from a mysterious stranger named Cort. Cort turns out to be far more than he seems, and his cargo is Mindblown, the deadliest new drug on the market. When the run goes wrong, the team goes after him for revenge, and stopping him may cost more than they want to pay.

Rosenberg’s name also turns up on several other Catalyst titles, such as Shadowrun: Magic, Machines, and Mayhem, and Shadowrun: Drawing Destiny, so I’d say he has some experience under his belt. Check it out…
