Notes: This is a fair approximation of the Kai Leng I use in my non-canon RP on Twitter. He’s missing a few traits here and there, but those can easily be considered stunts (gods, I love Mutants & Masterminds) or added in later. For a “villain” Kai Leng, you’ll want to bump up the PL (say, around 12 or 13) and add new traits to account for his cybernetic enhancements.

His abilities are a mix between the excellent version of the character found in the excellent novel Mass Effect: Retribution and a few pieces of equipment that approximate his abilities in the game. I was trying to strike a middle ground between the two versions of the character, and I think I managed it well enough.

In a Mass Effect game, he gets an Omni-tool for free. This version mainly uses it for communication.

I’ll be doing a “villain” version of the character later on, so stay tuned for that.

Jonathan is a firm believer that the best way to make friends is to game with them, and that nearly any problem can be surmounted with a well rolled d20 and a sense of humor. Regrettably, his professors do not agree with him, which leaves him with the challenge of balancing his gaming habits with his studies. Profile Page / Article Portfolio

  1. But where is the HeroLab file? 😉

  2. Unfortunatly, there isn’t one. Wrote the build up on my tablet. Been away from my computer more often than near it of late.

Herolab really needs a mobile app…

    • I had heard they were working towards one, but that it was low priority at the moment. I’m just glad they got it onto a Mac so I could uninstall the virtual desktop.
